"The Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up."
"For me the desire to create and make art has always been there from when I could first hold a pencil. My art making takes me on a journey of constant exploration of colour, texture and line into imagined landscapes, portrait and still life.
My process often starts intuitively with the application of abstract layers of paint, collage and printing on paper, board or canvas. From there I develop the work by adding more layers until I achieve what I'm looking for, cutting things up and rearranging before adding stitch or other times totally painting over the surface to create deep layers of marks and textures. Sometimes the work is purely abstract, sometimes representational but what links it all is my love of bright, joyful, intense colour. My aim is to bring that joy into your life through my art"
